Operation Help the People (OHTP) is a 501(c)3 organization operating in Jamaica. We are on a mission to raise a generation of socially-responsible youth.
We focus our efforts on three key areas: Community Development, Education, and Youth Empowerment.
We understand that changing the world is no easy feat. But city by city, community by community, school by school, project by project, and child by child, we believe that we can truly make a difference. Let’s embrace this journey together!

Our Story
How We Started
Our first project was executed on July 16th, 2014. A few days prior to the launch of OHTP, our founder, Caleb Jackson was asked about his motivation for creating the organization. “Why did you decide to create OHTP?”, a reporter asked. Caleb’s response can be summed up with a simple phrase – “I want to give before I receive”. The Baltimore, Maryland-native spent many of his formative years living in Jamaica. After witnessing what seemed to be endless poverty and distress among community members, Caleb decided to take action and create Operation Help the People.
“I want to give, before I receive”
Since our inception four years ago, we have completed over 30 projects and impacted the lives of over 40,000 people – and we’re just getting started. We ultimately aim to impact the lives of millions of people around the globe.
